So we hadn’t planned to stop in Kuala Lumpur but flight changes meant we had a 30 hour stay so M found a way to make the most of it: a deal to stay in a hotel that included entry to a water park called Bangi Wonderland (right across the road). I mean who could resist right?!
Unfortunately, when we arrived we found our first tragic loss of the trip. My kindle that I got from my new job in late 2010 (I think??) had a crack in the screen and was no longer usable. May Nindle rest in peace.

We needed to go shoe shopping for the kids to get slide on shoes and they were so happy to find these beauties. Yes we bought them, and no I will not live down the shame (sorry Mandy). (This also is the second tragic loss of the trip with one of the bears on the right also now reported missing.)

Also in the shopping centre were some claw machines which were one ringgit a go (so about about 32 cents). The highs and lows created by these machines can be felt in the picture below.

Bangi Wonderland was pretty huge (only part of it is pictured below – there’s more to the left) and we had the unfortunate luck to pick the busiest day of the year (due to local holidays) so it was very busy. Still, it was a great way to cool off on a hot & humid afternoon. Even if I had to wait in line for an hour to get a yellow double float (yep seriously!).
