So there are some things that are good with salt. And some things that are not. See if you can determine which might be which in this picture:

Now, obviously when you are traveling long term you need to buy basics like toothpaste and shampoo. And you wouldn’t think this would be that tricky, I mean sometimes they aren’t great but really, how bad can it be? But when you are in a country where you can’t read the language at all (and didn’t flip over the box to read the English🤦♀️) then you might end up buying this toothpaste completely oblivious to the salt until you’ve already smeared it on your toothbrush and put it in your mouth 😩
After a few days of this (after all, we’d spent money on this stuff and we were trying not to be wasteful), I caved and bought another type. M persisted with it for a bit longer but in the end it got left behind in an Airbnb and hopefully found a more grateful home.
From then on, I was checking out the different flavours and there are a few unexpected ones. I was not brave enough to try any of these! The lemongrass one could be ok but orange (with or without cloves) makes me think of how orange juice tastes after brushing your teeth, so that’s a hard no! The sweet strawberry and peach ones just seemed wrong to me.

I also spotted this Christmas special. May I say now, in case you received this as a gift, and thought someone was being nice. They are not. This is a big hint that you need to see a dentist ASAP! 😁
