It was another long drive to the hills, and we stopped at a few places to break it up. We got to the two-bedroom accommodation, and found a few monkeys 🐒! There are banana chips 🍌🍟 everywhere, and we couldn’t resist buying some! See the picture below, demonstrating how they are made 😋.

There was a nice massage place called Santhigiri. N, I and Z got a foot, head + shoulders massage and a face mask (it came as a package) while M got the head and shoulders, then went for a walk, where he happened to see a car break down 😮! People then, more casually than expected, pushed it with ease across the road through busy traffic. Some people gathered to watch. (Can’t insert a video, sorry.) Z got a special plait done after the 90 minute massages 😍.

We did a 3.5 hour jeep safari. Even though the pictures don’t show it, it was so bumpy that we were on a 75 degree angle half the time!! We avoided a 5:30 am safari jeep tour; doing it hours later. Sadly, the only animals we saw were 118 cows (I and Z counted) and a grey pigeon.

We saw some people with jasmine in their hair, so we got to put some in ours for 50 Indian Rupees (less than one Australian dollar). I, (Z’s sibling) wasn’t feeling well in the morning so she had to get hers attached by N. This is your daily reminder to do your Duolingo!!!! 💚🦉📖

Right next to our accommodation, a jeep fell into the crevices of the deep gutter (smart move), avoiding reckless tuk tuks. Our driver in the black shirt was nearby when it happened! A lot of people were needed to get it out, but soon it was back on its shaky way.

We went to a cool restaurant with decorations for breakfast. We looked at some jewelry we didn’t end up buying, and enjoyed the day ☀😎. That evening we saw a martial arts show with fire at the end you’ll see in the below picture, and got Bindi (the dot on Indians’ forehead) at the end.

That night was our final day in Kumily. We went to the restaurant place for dinner and found another funny sign. Time for a 5 hour drive to the airport! Thankfully we could swap the 7:30pm-8:40pm flight to start at 4:30!! 😎🧠 We got to Chennai early.
