Our Airbnb in Paris was outside the central area, in north eastern suburb of Romainville. We randomly heard about a twice weekly local market a short walk from our accommodation and left the kids to go and check it out.
As you might imagine there was a lot of cheese and we had some trouble deciding what to get.

It was at this moment when a shopper started talking to us – turned out he was Australian who had been living in Paris for several decades. He gave us some great cheese tips and we exchanged numbers. We ended up meeting him and his English wife for an aperitif a couple of days later!
But back to the market: it had everything – fruit & veg, meat & fish (plus oysters) and freshly cooked dishes as well. All beautifully presented and looking absolutely delicious 🤤

It was a tough job but we managed to make some difficult decisions and brought back a small offering to the kids for lunch:

OMG yum!!!
